Since we started making models for F1 teams 10 years ago we have also yearned to make a collection of classic historic race cars. Until recently we have only managed to find time to develop two such models, the Ferrari 312T4 and the Maserati 250F. We loved building these models but we also learned that the development and detailing of such models made a huge demand on our pattern making team in terms of research and build time. We have finally taken a big step forward and we now have two teams dedicated to developing historic racers. Earlier this year we initiated a program that will see at least four new models released each year, starting with the Mercedes W196 Monoposto and Streamliner of 1954 and 1955.
